The Lynchburg Lions Club held its regular business meeting on Nov. 10 at the Lions Club building in Lynchburg.

The guest speaker was Shawn Carter, who is the Director of Grounds at the “Save A Warrior” location near Danville in southwest Highland County.

Mr. Carter presented an excellent summary of the history and purpose of the “Save a Warrior” program and how it has benefitted hundreds of persons. It is a unique intense program that reaches persons from all over the country.

It is the only program like it in the U.S.

The Lynchburg Club presented a check for $250 to Mr. Carter for use by the “Save a Warrior” project. Following the program, the Club discussed numerous items of business including plans for the annual candy sale that began on Nov. 18.
