Lynchburg-Clay, Fairfield, Whiteoak compete in 1st SHAC boys golf tournament match

The Southern Hills Athletic Conference boys golf tournament began Tuesday, Sept. 12 at the Hillsboro Elks, where North Adams leading the way with a low score of 165.

NAHS also had the individual medalist, Breestin Schweickart, who shot a 38.

For Highland County schools, Lynchburg-Clay was fourth with a 185, Whiteoak finished sixth with a 208 and Fairfield followed closely at 209 in seventh place.

Lynchburg-Clay was led by Saxen Wilkin with a 40, as he was second as an individual at the SHAC Day 1 tournament. Other scoring for LC included Braedon West, 45 (13th overall); Cole Wells, 49 (25th place); Austin Bell, 51 (27th); and Cody Bell, 52 (28th).

Brody Fauber shot a 44 to lead the Fairfield Lions, as he was 10th place overall as an individual. Fairfield scores included Otis Cockerill, Titon Crowder and Hayden Crusie all scoring a 55 to tie for 34th place, while Blaine Fauber shot a 56 for 37th place.

Whiteoak’s low scorer was Kaden Moon-Stone, as he shot a 46 for the Wildcats, good for 19th place overall. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Eli Roberts and Isaiah Rowe both shooting a 52 to tie for 28th place; Caden Butler, 58 (38th place); and Christian Hite, 64 (42nd place).

The second SHAC golf match will be held Thursday at Buckeye Hills.
