Lions roar past visiting Peebles

The Fairfield boys soccer team defended their home field Monday night, and in the process, gained a Southern Hills Athletic Conference win by defeating the visiting Peebles Indians, 4-3.

Fairfield had three goals from three players, sharing the wealth as they had those goals from senior Grant Baker, senior Larkin Friend and junior Logan McIntosh.

Assists were credited to Friend and McIntosh.

Junior keeper Carson Jenkins totaled 10 saves in the SHAC win.

The win moves the Lions to 1-0-0 in the SHAC standings and 2-2-0 overall. Eastern moves to 1-1-0 in the SHAC and 1-1-1 overall.

Next for the Lions is a SHAC game on Wednesday, Aug. 23 on the road against the Ripley Blue Jays with a 4:30 p.m. start.
