Hillsboro Athletic Boosters thank community for successful Gala

To the editor:
The Hillsboro Athletic Boosters would like to thank the community for making the 13th annual Gala a huge success.
The boosters raised over $20,000 this year. Our goal is to use the funds to help in purchasing power equipment upgrades for the baseball and softball teams, a meet management system for swimming and a windscreen for the tennis courts.
The theme this year was “Cinco de Mayo,” and the night started with appetizers donated by the past athletic booster members. Dinner was catered by Brad and Melissa Elmore with Hot Head Burritos. The guests enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby on the big screen followed by the reverse raffle. Each guest in attendance went home with amazing prizes from generous donors and supporters throughout our community.
Christy Miller was the lucky winner of the $10,000.
Mark your calendar for next year's event which is scheduled for May 4, 2019. We are planning a Kentucky Derby themed evening.
