Child Protective Services plans annual Christmas Drive
To the editor:
Once again, Highland County Department of Job & Family Services – Child Protective Services (formerly Children Services) is planning our annual Christmas Drive to match sponsors with children and families for whom the agency is currently providing services.
We are in need of volunteers to sponsor a child or family, either by purchasing "wish list" gifts or giving contributions. Last year, we served 80 children and 19 families. Large or small, all contributions will be appreciated.
Donations to the Children's Gift Fund in excess of the holiday gift needs will fund special needs for agency children throughout the year and will enhance the quality of life for children in our foster care programs.
