Lebanon OSHP Post  investigating single-vehicle fatal crash

Troopers from the Lebanon Post are investigating a single-vehicle fatal traffic crash. The crash occurred today, November 28 at approximately 1:38 p.m., on Jeffery Road south of Ross Road in Washington Township, Warren County.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2021 International MV607, operated by Donald C. Dakin, age 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was traveling north on Jeffery Road.

Dakin went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and overturned while traveling off the left side of the roadway, striking an embankment.

Dakin sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office. Dakin was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne Township Fire & EMS, and Sandy’s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Lebanon Post.
