The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs dropped a non-conference game Saturday afternoon, falling to the host Minford Falcons, 3-1.

The lone goal for the Mustangs was scored by JJ Massey with the assist from Austin Bell.

For the season, LCHS keeper Isaac Eyre has collected 28 saves.

The Mustangs now stand at 0-2-1 overall after four games this season. This season LCHS has also lost to Georgetown (1-0) and tied Western Brown (0-0).

Next for LCHS is an away game — their Southern Hills Athletic Conference opener for the 2023 season — as they will be facing the West Union Dragons at 4:30 p.m on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
