LC Mustangs net 3 goals in win over Peebles

For the fifth time in seven games this season, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys soccer team was on the road, and on Wednesday evening they earned a victory in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.

LCHS earned the road win over the host Peebles Indians by a 3-0 score, giving the Mustangs their third consecutive win and fourth straight game without a loss.

In the Wednesday night winning effort, the Mustangs had goals from a trio of juniors, those being Noah Bitzer, Josiah Burns and Braedon West. Burns also had an assist. Isaac Eyre led LCHS at goal with four saves as keeper.

The win improves the Mustangs to 3-2-2 overall, and their SHAC record improves to 2-0-0 overall.

LCHS will play at home for their next three games, starting with a non-conference home game on Saturday, Sept. 23 against South Webster at noon. From there, LCHS will host North Adams in a SHAC battle on Monday, Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m. Then, on Thursday, Sept. 28, the Mustangs are scheduled for a non-conference game against Unioto at 6:30 p.m.
