Lady Mustangs volleyball battles to 5-set win over Felicity

Battling to the fifth and final set Wednesday night, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs earned a non-conference win by defeating the visiting Felicity-Franklin Lady Cardinals by a 3-2 team score.

LCHS won set one at 25-8 and lost set two, 25-23. Next, the Lady Mustangs lost set three at 25-15 and won the fourth and fifth sets by scores of 25-15 and 15-12 to seal the home victory.

Lynchburg-Clay totaled 27 kills, where Addy Carraher added eight for the team lead.

LCHS had three players with four kills each, with those players being Halle Greene, Kylie O’Connor and Avery Shope.

Carraher also led the Lady Mustangs with nine assists, and she also had the most aces on the team with three.

Leading in digs for LCHS was Allison Rockey with 19.

With the win, Lynchburg-Clay is 4-9 overall, and they have a SHAC record of 3-6.
