Lady Lions suffer first SHAC volleyball loss of season

The Fairfield Lady Lions volleyball team hosted the North Adams Lady Green Devils Monday evening at Grandle Gymnasium, falling in three straight sets in the battle of the two SHAC divisions’ first-place teams.

NAHS won the conference game by scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-15.

The Lady Green Devils were led in kills by Aulbrea Meade with six, and in assists Natalie Ragan led NAHS with 15. Meade also led North Adams with six aces, and the digs leader was Paige Evans with 16.

For Fairfield, Mackenzie Anderson led with eight kills, Kelsey Clark was the leader in assists with 14, and the aces leader was Remi Moon with three. Jobey Hattan led FHS with 14 digs, and McKinley Cox had three blocks for the team lead.

The loss drops FHS to 6-1 in the SHAC Division II standings and 6-6 overall. NAHS is 7-0 in the SHAC Division I standings and 10-3 overall.
