Kenneth Alan Riddell

Kenneth Alan Riddell, 83, of West Union, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at the Eagle Creek Nursing Home in West Union.

He was born June 16, 1940 in Fairborn, the son of the late Charles T. and Gladys Cron Riddell.

Kenneth enlisted in the Air Force after graduating High School in 1958. He spent four years in the armed services and was stationed as an MP in Turkey. After Kenneth was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he worked for 20 years at General Motors Corporation. Kenneth enjoyed eating ice cream, being in nature and spending quiet time with the Lord.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lockhart Riddell, whom he married Nov. 16, 1971; four sons, Kenneth (Sabrina) Riddell of New Richmond, Rhys Riddell of Columbus, Keith (Teri) Riddell of Ostrander and Eric Riddell of Seaman; 10 grandchildren, Caleb, Katrina, Penny, Louise Ann, Ethan, Brennen, Sam, Solomon, Ezra and Sarah; and two sisters, Sharleen Marie (Norman) Lawrence of North Carolina and Bonnie Riddell of Madison, Ind.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Riddell and Ed Riddell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, 602 N. High Street, Hillsboro 45133. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services, with military honors presented by the Wright-Patterson AFB Honor Team, will be held Friday, Oct. 27 at 9 a.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton.
