Johnny Ray Snyder

Johnny Ray Snyder, 69, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2023 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
 
He was born July 18, 1954 in Highland County, the son of John and Joan (Kennedy) Snyder.
 
He retired from the Village of Bainbridge Water Department after 20-plus years of service. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 14, member of the Bainbridge Fire Department, coached baseball at PVYL and loved running beagle dogs all over the U.S.
 
He is survived by his wife, Amy (Hamlin) Snyder of Hillsboro; five daughters, Jenny (John) Kemme of Bainbridge, Katelyn Snyder of Bainbridge, Brooklyn Snyder of Bainbridge, Morgan Johnson of Greenfield and Emma Snyder of Hillsboro; two granddaughters, Annie Penwell and Morgan Snyder; one great-granddaughter, Gracee Martin; one brother, Kenny (Barb) Snyder of Hillsboro; four sisters, Kathy Walker of Florida, Billie (Buck) Soales of Greenfield, Colena (James) Deeter of Hillsboro and Sandy (Jimmy) Jones of Leesburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and mother, Joan Snyder of Hillsboro.
 
He was preceded in death by one son, Chris Snyder; two brothers, Rick Snyder and Brian Snyder; and his father.
 
Celebration of life will be Saturday, Aug. 19 from noon until 3 p.m. at the American Legion Post 14, 105 W. Third Street, Bainbridge 45612. Anyone is welcome to attend and bring a covered dish.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home.
 
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
