John and Nancy Abernathy celebrate 70th anniversary

John and Nancy Abernathy of Hillsboro gathered Saturday, Sept. 16 with family members at 24 Deli to mark the occasion of their 70th wedding anniversary. 

They were married Sept. 19, 1953, at the Fairview Church of Christ. 

The Abernathys enjoyed lunch, cakes and other desserts and were presented with several cards and gifts during the afternoon event.

This couple is all about family. Wonderful example of dedication to each other and their familes.
Being a neice, Jody was a person to guide me in the right way. My Dad, Bud, adored his sister.
