Joan Lucille Albert

Joan Lucille Albert, 94, of Mowrystown, passed away Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 at Monarch Meadows Nursing Home in Seaman. 
 
She was born Sept. 10, 1928 in West Alexandria, the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Duerr) Stukins.
 
Joan was a member of Mowrystown Church of Christ. She had worked at Robertshaw in Hillsboro and Johnson Controls in Greenfield. Joan was a devoted farmer's wife, mother and grandmother.
 
Surviving are her daughter, Martha “Martie” (Charles “Butch”) Bratton of Mowrystown; daughter-in-law, Patsy Albert of Sardinia; grandchildren, William (Terry) Albert, Daniel (Sarah) Albert, Craig (Shelby) Bratton, Chuck (Courtney) Bratton, Angie Wright and Jeff (Jenny) Scott; great-grandchildren, Cayla Bratton (Jeremy Cook), Cylee Bratton, William Albert, James Albert, Charlie Bratton and Oliver Bratton; a brother, John Stukins; and extended family members; Katie, Ryan, Max and Lucas Pollard; Mark, Rachel, Zane and Harper Wright; Megan, Richie, Calvin and Cooper Cox; and Nathan, Brittany and Rahm Scott.
 
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edwin Albert; son, David Albert; granddaughter-in-law, Elly (Manor) Albert; grandson-in-law, Derek Troy Wright; brother, Charles H. “Bud” Stukins; and a sister, Jane Stukins.
 
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Mowrystown Church of Christ Community Building, 28 W. Main St. Mowrystown, with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating, with fellowship to follow.
 
Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, is serving the family.
