James Albert Shipp

James Albert Shipp, 65, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023 at the Hospice of Dayton.

He was born March 7, 1958, in Germany, the son of the late Albert Shipp and Mae (York) Shipp.

He was a devout Christian and enjoyed playing the drums.

James is survived by his companion, Cynthia Jett; son, Jonathan Smith; mother-in-law, Janet Smith; three sisters-in-law, Deb Meyers, Kathy Burton and Jennifer Fitzwater; a niece, Katrina Snider; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Snider; and father-in-law, Darwin Smith.

There will be no visitation. Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
