12 Highland County boys basketball players named OPSWA All-District; 3 players on first team, Williams selected Div. IV COY

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association All-Southeast District boys basketball teams were announced Saturday, with 12 Highland County players selected by members of the media.
This year’s list included three Highland County boys basketball players earning first-team honors in their respective divisions. In addition, Fairfield first-year head coach Quentin Williams was selected as Coach of the Year for Division IV. The Lions set a program record for wins in a season, going 24-1.
In Division III, Lynchburg-Clay senior Brady Chisman, who averaged 17 points per game this season and earned his 1,000th career point, was named to the first team. Highland County added two first-team selections in Division IV with Whiteoak senior Landon Barnett (who averaged 17.9 ppg and also scored his 1,000th point this year) and Fairfield senior T.J. Mootz (who averaged 14.4 ppg for the 24-1 Lions) both earning recognition.
Highland County had no second-team honorees, but four players were represented on the third team, including Hillsboro senior Bryce Parsons (15.1 ppg) for Division II. In Division III, Lynchburg-Clay senior Bryce Binkley (12.4 ppg) was named to the third team. Two Fairfield teammates, senior Wyatt Collins (7.1 ppg) and junior Larkin Friend (8.1 ppg), rounded out the third-team selections in Division IV.
Special mention went to Hillsboro sophomore Tate Davis and McClain juniors Andrew Potts and Seth Weller for Division II; Lynchburg-Clay senior Ian Waits in Division III; and Whiteoak senior Carson Emery in Division IV.
