During the Monday, June 3 Greenfield Village Council meeting, Greenfield Police Chief Jimmy Oyer alleged that while he was on a recent vacation, someone had unauthorized access to the police department's computer network. On Tuesday, June 4, Greenfield City Manager Todd Wilkin said the village is investigating the matter.

Major Thomas A. Payne, who retired from the United States Air Force after a 24-year career as both an enlisted airman and an officer, was the guest speaker at the 2024 Memorial Day observance at the Highland County Veterans Memorial.

The 2024 Greenfield Music Festival is set for June 7-9 in Greenfield. Opening ceremonies will be 4 p.m. Friday, June 7 with a welcoming from board members and the singing of the national anthem by Sean Poole. The queens pageant will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 7.

According to the Ohio Revised Code, "public record means any document regardless of physical form, including an electronic record, created or received by or coming under the jurisdiction of any public office, which serves to document the activities of the office."

For the second time in as many months, a majority of Greenfield Village Council has rejected efforts by two other council members to remove City Manager Todd Wilkin.

Greenfield Law Director Hannah Bivens has submitted a letter of resignation to the village effective June 30.

The Greenfield Village Council will meet at 8 a.m. Friday, May 24 in council chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 300 Jefferson Street to discuss personnel matters. 

A special election for Greenfield voters will be held July 15, according to Greenfield City Manager Todd Wilkin.
