On April 29, five McClain FFA members competed in a FFA contest called agricultural issues. This contest is a group event where members design a skit based on a relevant issue in agriculture. 

The McClain FFA chapter took four members to the state livestock judging contest on April 28, where the team placed seventh. 

Big change is in store for Ohio’s Appalachian region through the $500 million Appalachian Community Grant Program, which aims to revitalize, enhance, and rebuild the economies of 32 Appalachian counties. 

Throughout February and March, the McClain FFA chapter participated in several invitationals for a variety of contests. Then, on March 25, McClain took several members to the preliminary round for the contests. 

The Greenfield Exempted Village School District Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, April 24 in the Buckskin Elementary cafeteria at 7 p.m.

Greenfield is gearing up for grant-funded projects, according to the city manager during his report to council at its meeting Monday, April 17.

The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in one death. The crash occurred on Saturday, April 8 at approximately 10:44 a.m. on Antioch Road near Scissorville Road in Clinton County.

On March 22, the McClain FFA officer team decided to put on the first annual soup and sandwich social to help celebrate National Agriculture Week.

Arrested were Daryl Bumgarner, 34, and Hope Rowland, 25, both of 645 McKell Avenue, Greenfield. Both suspects are charged with possession of fentanyl, a felony of the first degree. Bond has been set at $1,000,000 for each and arraignment is set for Friday, March 31 at Highland County Court in Greenfield.
