  • Xavier Athletics announces 2025 Hall of Fame class

    Xavier University Athletics is proud to announce the outstanding 2025 four-member induction class for the Xavier University Athletic Hall of Fame, which will bring the total number of members in the Hall of Fame to 163. Two men's basketball stars, Jordan L. Crawford ('10) and Aaron S. Williams ('93), women's basketball standout Amy L. Siefring ('96) and record-setting track and field student-athlete Zachary I. Polk ('18) make up this year's class.
  • Dayton’s Drew VanVleet named to STATS FCS Jerry Rice Award watch list
    University of Dayton redshirt freshman quarterback Drew VanVleet has been named a finalist for the 2024 STATS Perform Jerry Rice Award. The Rice Award honors the national freshman of the year in Division I FCS college football.

On Monday afternoon, she became the first cross-country runner, male or female, in Wilmington College history to be named U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week more than once in their Quakers career.

    After a fantastic day at Transylvania University in a tri-dual that also involved Wittenberg University, Wilmington College sophomore Jo Pedersen was named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the first time in his career.
  • OHSAA lists girls volleyball state tournament pairings
    The 50th Annual Ohio High School Athletic Association girls volleyball state tournament begins Nov. 7 at four sites in the Dayton area. Seven state champions will be crowned at the Nutter Center at Wright State University, with additional sites hosting state semifinals, including Vandalia Butler High School, Clayton Northmont High School and Kettering Fairmont High School.

    The Wilmington College men’s soccer team travels to Westerville, Ohio Tuesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. matchup with the Cardinals in the First Round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament (OAC). After missing out on the postseason in 2023, the Quakers are back in the tournament after advancing to the OAC Championship game in 2022.
  • OHSAA releases football regional quarterfinal pairings
    The regional quarterfinals of the Ohio High School Athletic Association football playoffs will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, and the OHSAA announced the pairings on Sunday afternoon. Unless otherwise noted, all playoff games will kick off Friday at 7 p.m.
