House Bill 36 restores the number of excusable calamity days to five, which would take effect immediately and allow two additional calamity days for the remainder of the 2010-2011 school year.

State Representative Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has announced that legislation to address prescription drug abuse and strengthen oversight measures yesterday passed from the Ohio House of Representatives by a vote of 97-0. When enacted, it will combat the growing prevalence of prescription drug abuse and fatalities within the state of Ohio.

On the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday, the students at St. Mary Catholic School received ashes on their foreheads.

Let’s face it, all federal, state and local government entities that have not made spending cuts comparable to all those cuts made in the private-sector households of “unorganized taxpayers” across America ought to be ashamed of themselves. So should any taxpayer – unorganized or otherwise – who allows this travesty to continue.

“Dave is one of the first attorneys I became friends with. I started practicing in 1976 and we became good friends over the years,” Judge Rocky Coss said. “It’s just a shock and I’ve been sick since I heard it. We had coffee every morning for 30 years. He was one of the group over at Wanda’s Restaurant. He was a good friend to a lot of people, and he could get along with just about anybody, no matter what their background. He is going to be a big loss.”
