Highland County has been placed on a tornado watch, according to the National Weather Service. 

The watch was put into effect at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday and will be in effect until 9 p.m. Highland County is also under a hazardous weather outlook alert. Repeated thunderstorms occurring also create the potential for flooding, according to the NWS website.

ADAMS COUNTY - An Adams County child has died after being pulled from a stream, located in an Amish community.
 According to WLWT News 5, "Deputies said 4-year-old Mahlon Yutzey had disappeared from a home at 6005 Unity Road shortly before noon. His mother went searching for him and found him facedown in a stream."

A report has been filed with the Hillsboro Police Department against the superintendent of the Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities regarding an alleged telecommunications harassment against the spouse of a Board of DD employee.
