The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter took 12 students to the  contest in Middletown.

There were 6 students that participated in the urban category and 6 students that participated in the agricultural category.

At district soils, students look at things in the soil like topsoil depth, depth to restrictive features, water quality, and compaction for agricultural and depth to bedrock, subject to flooding, and more for the urban category.

The agricultural team got seventh place, and the urban team got sixth place. Kenny Shawhan was 11th out of 90 in the agricultural category and Camden Stroud got 12th out of 80 in the urban category.
