A bill to crack down on financial aid fraud passed the U.S. House earlier this month

The Adams County Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Hospice of Hope to support a special patient-centered initiative designed to provide comfort, dignity and meaningful personal connections for hospice patients and their families.

Pike County Prosecuting Attorney Michael A. Davis is pleased to report that Christopher Barfield, 50, of Waverly was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole by the honorable Rob Junk, Judge of the Pike County Court of Common Pleas, for the murder of a male victim and the attempted murder of a female victim in Piketon last year.

A hastily constructed immigrant detention facility on a military base in Texas wasted millions in federal funding and failed to meet basic standards, according to a report released Tuesday by a nonpartisan government watchdog.

So I subpoenaed him,” Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Chairman Rand Paul, R-Ky., posted on social media Tuesday. “He will testify in July.”
