Prindle receives Meritorious Service Medal

Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Frederick A. Prindle, whose wife, Mary, is the daughter of Frances M. Veach of Hillsboro, and Emitt B. Hall, of Xenia, recently retired from active duty after 30 years of honorable service.

Prindle was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for demonstrating exceptional leadership and total commitment to excellence as Command Master Chief, Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five Eight, Jacksonville, Fla.

Prindle started his Navy career as a Boiler Technician in 1982 and later converted to Machinery Repairman. In 2006, he entered the Command Master Chief program.

Some of his previous assignments include: Naval Marine Corps Reserve Center Akron, Ohio; Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA) Newport, R. I., Naval Reserve Center, Louisville, Ky. and Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron Light Six Zero "Jaguars" Mayport, Fla.
