Bright Local School District breakfast program a success

On May 16, the Children's Hunger Alliance visited Bright Elementary School to see our Grab'N'Go breakfast program in action. This is a program for grades 1-12 where our cafeteria staff takes a healthy breakfast to our students and they eat in their classroom each morning.
Through grants, Children's Hunger Alliance has provided us with the needed equipment to make this program possible.
The Alliance team was able to see the support not only from our students but from the teachers, staff and administration at Bright Local. The breakfast carts allows students to start their day with a nutritious breakfast and allows them to get right to their education first thing in the morning.
The Alliance team also watched a video of the high school implementation of the Grab'N'Go which on the average has increased breakfast participation by about 39 percent.
Bright Local School District is very proud to make this program available for our students, and Children's Hunger Alliance was thrilled to see its success.
