The Class of 2028 Hillsboro Lady Indians had the opportunity recently to meet members of one of the most prestigious teams in Hillsboro Lady Indians basketball history.
The 1993 Lady Indians team that won Hillsboro’s only sectional and district championships came and spoke of their experience and path they took. The sixth graders had prepared questions, and the ’93 team members answered them graciously.
Some of the 1993 team members who were present were Bobbi Bloomfield, Kari Crafton, Leah McConnaughey, Steph Roland, Mindy Sanders and Tara Williamson.
Members of the sixth grade team include Dinah Ames, Kenidi Barnett, Nevaeh Blair, Bella Burns, Peyton Gobin, Ella Jordan, Addley Miller, Riley Pence, Ezzy Robinson, Taylor-Ann Scruggs and Piper Wilkin.
The 1993 team talked about teamwork and hard work. The current Lady Indians who will someday follow in the ’93 team’s footsteps and represent Hillsboro on and off the court received great advice, lessons and pointers.
Hillsboro Lady Indians Class of 2028 would like to thank all the 1993 members for taking time to meet, greet and show the community support.
