GREENFIELD — In their most recent matches, the McClain boys golf team has defeated Miami Trace (twice), Madison-Plains, Hillsboro (non-league), London and Clinton-Massie to stay undefeated in the South Central Ohio League.
MHS now is 6-0 in the SCOL and 18-2 overall.
"We have had a long week, playing four matches in four days, but the kids have really stepped up to the challenge and played well," MHS coach Tim Bolender said. "The best thing about this week is that all six of our guys have contributed scores at some point. When you have six guys that on any given day can give you a solid score, it makes the team that much stronger.
"I have told the guys from day one that this league would not be easy this year, and so far I have been correct. The SCOL is strong this year, and every match is a challenge. It makes it fun."
