Present and future Hillsboro Lady Indians have officially kicked off the summer with a developmental basketball camp.

Coach Jenni Gleadle, with the help of current basketball players, worked with girls in the elementary.

“There are about eight girls per grade in third through sixth with a second grader sprinkled in as well,” Hillsboro head coach JR Moberly said.

Coach Moberly was pleased with the attendance and excited about Coach Gleadle’s leadership and making the camp fun for the kids.

The camp, which will be held until Thursday, is providing quality hands-on learning from dribbling, passing, shooting and defense. All participants will receive a free camp shirt at the end of the camp, but more importantly, valuable lessons on the game of basketball and an introduction to Hillsboro Lady Indians basketball.
