On a night where the Hillsboro Lady Indians had their Volley for a Cure match, they not only raised money for the Susan G. Komen Fund, but on the court, they defended their home court against the Wilmington Lady Hurricane.
For HHS, they won their South Central Ohio League match in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-19.
The win by HHS moves them to 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the SCOL. HHS is currently third in the league with three games left in league play. HHS has Clinton-Massie on Tuesday, Miami Trace on Thursday and East Clinton next Tuesday.
The Lady Indians' senior night will be on Thursday vs. Miami Trace.
But besides the win on the court, the night was about helping support a more important cause.
"This was all student-led with the help from a teacher," HHS head coach Amy Vance said. "The kids take charge, and they do a great job every year."
For HHS on the court, Kirsten Juillerat led the Lady Indians with eight kills and three blocks. Taylor Remsing had seven kills for HHS.
