The Hillsboro Lady Indians broke the school record for a low round of golf in a nine-hole event on Wednesday. That record lasted less than 24 hours as they surpassed that mark on Thursday in their non-conference road match at West Union for a victory.

HHS defeated West Union, 172-178 Thursday at the Adams County Country Club, with HHS having one golfer in Kristin Jamieson shoot two strokes under par with a score of 33 for match medalist honors.

Emily Loudin was next with a score of 43, followed by Abby Myers with a score of 44, which was a career-best score.

Larkyn Parry was next with a score of 52, followed by Claire Wilkin (61) and Madi Stratton (64).

“This was a good match against a good team,” HHS head coach David Hilliard said. “Abby was huge for us in this match, and it was great to see her gain a career-best score.”

West Union was led by Lucy Kersey and Alex Clark with scores of 43.

The win moves HHS to 15-14 overall. In FAC play this season, the Lady Indians are 5-0.
