Lady Indians run-ruled against Lady Blue Lions

WASHINGTON C.H. — The Hillsboro Lady Indians just couldn't score runs on Friday night at Washington C.H.
HHS was held to one run, scored in the first inning, but allowed 11 in an 11-1 loss in five innings to the Washington Lady Blue Lions in South Central Ohio League play.
HHS scored their only run in the first inning with Taylor Moberly scoring on a double by A.J. Sanders. Moberly reached first with a lead-off base hit. She finished the game with two hits, gaining her second hit in the fifth inning.
For HHS, Sara Ray singled in the third inning, and Kayla Deatley walked in the fourth.
Washington tied the game in the first inning with a run by Shears. Shears finished with three runs in the game. Daniels also scored three runs against HHS.
The Lady Blue Lions took the lead in the second inning with one run. Washington didn't trail for the rest of the game.
In the third, the Lady Blue Lions added two runs for a 4-1 lead. They scored three more runs in the fourth and capped off the game with four runs in the fifth. Washington scored their 11th run with two outs in the fifth, sealing the run-rule win.
For Washington, Hayes scored once, and Lantz scored the go-ahead run in the second inning for the Lady Blue Lions.
Riley scored twice against HHS, in the fourth and fifth innings. Perugh scored a run in the fifth.
