Lady Indians dominate East Clinton with 25 runs

Scoring lots of runs was in the works for the Hillsboro Lady Indians on Wednesday, as they soundly defeated the visiting East Clinton Lady Astros, 25-6 at Hillsboro's Alice Cassner Field.
The Lady Indians scored 13 runs in the first inning, and from there, it was smooth sailing for the home team Lady Indians. They added three more runs in the second, one in the third and put the game even more out of reach with eight more runs in the fourth inning.
In all, HHS sent 41 batters to the plate in the South Central Ohio League win, increasing their overall record to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the league.
"We came out and hit well today, but we let it get away from us early," HHS head coach Katie Moberly said. "Defensively, we had to refocus, and we were able to do that, which is good.
"It is a good way to open the league, but everyone contributed (Wednesday)."
