LONDON — The Hillsboro Indians gained their second team win in less than a week against the London Red Raiders, winning by a 3-2 score, Tuesday at London High School.

The win was a bounce-back win for HHS, as they were defeated by Miami Trace in their previous South Central Ohio League game.

Hillsboro won two singles matches with Ben Rhoads, winning in second singles against Ryan Homeier, 6-0, 6-1. In third singles, Colton Wertsbaugh of Hillsboro defeated Eli Gladman in straight sets by scores of 6-2, 6-1.

The lone singles loss was first singles, with Reese Leibreich (HHS) falling in two sets 4-6, 2-6 to London's Eric Gunthorp. Last week, these two played to a tiebreaker when Leibreich won at HHS.

The Indians and Red Raiders split their doubles matches with HHS winning in first doubles. In the first doubles, Stanley Lannigan and Alex Rhoads defeated Tyler Cox and DJ Fisher, 6-1, 6-0.

In second doubles, Patrick Shanahan and Cody Pollard fell to London's Erik Thomas and Albrecht 4-6, 0-6.[[In-content Ad]]
