HILLSBORO — The Hillsboro Indians were swept on all five courts Monday at Hillsboro High School, falling to the Miami Trace Panthers in South Central Ohio League play.
In first singles, Hillsboro's Reese Leibreich lost to Landon Gibbs, 1-6, 4-6.
Ben Rhoads (HHS) lost to Isaiah Carson 1-6, 0-6 in second singles.
In third singles, Colton Wertsbaugh (HHS) lost to Zac Carson 2-6, 0-6.
Miami Trace won both doubles matches, as well.
In first doubles, Stanley Lannigan and Alex Rhoads (HHS) lost to Giorgio Santamato and Zach Hoppes 2-6, 3-6.
In second doubles, Patrick Shanahan and Cody Pollard (HHS) lost to Cem Cevirgen and Travis Sollars 6-7, 5-7.
“This was a tough loss because it was a league match," HHS head coach LaRue Turner said. "We need to find a way out of this pattern of poor play.”[[In-content Ad]]
