Indians sweep season series vs. EC

For the second time this week, the Hillsboro boys tennis team defeated the East Clinton Astros in South Central Ohio League play, winning again by a 4-1 score, with this meeting taking place at EC.

In first singles, Alex Rhoads (HHS) defeated Paul Luttrell (EC) in three sets, winning the first and third sets by scores of 6-3, 6-2. Rhoads lost set two, 0-6.

Zack Basford (HHS) lost to Luke Meares (EC) in straight sets, 2-6 and 1-6 in second singles.

For third singles, Hillsboro's Michael Gunderman won against Jack Wittenburg (EC) in two sets at 6-0, 6-1.

The HHS first doubles team of Patrick Shanahan and Chase Colliver defeated Nate Morgan and Marshall Pickering (EC) at 6-1 and 6-1. 

Second doubles saw Hillsboro's Collin Brown and Daniel Jackey win over East Clinton's Sam Runk and Travis Knell at 3-6, 6-3 and 7-5.
