Magulac pitched the final inning for the Indians, as it took him just 16 pitches to gain the final three outs. Magulac allowed one run (unearned) on one hits and no walks.

Hillsboro trailed 2-0 after two innings, but in the top of the third they tied the score with runs scored by Scott, who reached home on a bases-loaded walk forced by Boone, followed by Magulac hitting a sacrifice fly to right field to plate Crum.

After the Indians tied the score at 2-2, by the time the bottom of the third was over the Lions re-gained the lead at 4-2, as they also added two runs in the inning.

The top of the fourth saw the Indians add four runs to take the lead and never let go, as Scott and Crum scored runs off a double by Thompson, followed by Thompson crossing home plate on a single by Boone.

Then came the four-run inning tallied by the Indians with Magulac starting off the top of the fifth with a base hit, followed by taking second base off a walk from Harless. After an out was recorded on the bases, the Indians had two outs but stayed in the inning.

Harless moved to second following a walk by Warner, and Scott loaded the bases off a line drive single to centerfield. Harless scored a run on a passed ball, and Crum followed with a base hit to left field to plate Warner.

Scott followed by scoring a run on a wild pitch, and Crum added to the HHS lead off a base hit by Thompson.

Hillsboro’s final run came in the top of the sixth with Priest stepping on home plate following a single by Harless, as they Indians took advantage of Priest initially reaching first base on an error.
