The Hillsboro Indians had two football players earn 2019 Division IV All-Ohio honors for their play from this past season. Those two players gaining special mention honors from the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association were seniors Mark Gallimore and Draven Stodgel.
Both players played offense and defense for the Indians this season with Gallimore being a running back and linebacker, while Stodgel played on the offensive line and the defensive line.
Gallimore was selected to the defense of the Division III All-Ohio team, but his season also saw him be a standout on both sides of the ball in 2019.

On offense this season, Gallimore unofficially had 183 carries for 847 yards and six touchdowns rushing on offense, and this past season the senior battled with an injured ankle to still play in all 10 games and earn the aforementioned All-Ohio honors.
Gallimore as a running back had four games of over 100 yards rushing, and his highest total was against East Clinton with 27 carries for 153 yards and one rushing score. Against the Miami Trace Panthers, Gallimore totaled 25 carries for 145 yards and one touchdown run.
The senior also totaled 100-plus rushing yard games against Western Brown (118 yards) and Washington (108 yards).
Defensively, as a linebacker Gallimore was a difference maker as he was a part of many plays and helped lead the defense of the Indians this past season.
Stodgel played in and started all 10 games for Hillsboro in 2019. The All-Ohio honors are now added with another sport for Stodgel where he plays at a state level, with the senior being a state qualifier in track and field for two events (discus, shot put).
Stodgel was a top defensive lineman for HHS this season as he caused disruption in the backfield with quarterback hurries, sacks and tackles for loss as a nose tackle/defensive end for HHS. On offense, Stodgel was a staple for the Indians at tackle, where he faced tough competition all season long.
The Indians finished 4-6 overall this past season.
