The Hillsboro Indians swept their South Central Ohio League dual Thursday night, hosting both the Chillicothe Cavaliers and the East Clinton Astros. None of the three teams were able to have a full roster compete, as the Indians defeated the Cavs, 48-15 and the Astros, 42-19.
“We got two wins, which is important,” Hillsboro head coach James Jones said. “It’s the first two wins in the league as far as dual meets go, so that was good for the kids to get some wins in the league.
“I thought overall, we were OK. We weren’t at our best this evening, but we’ve got a lot of work we need to do. It’s all about peaking at the right time. It’s midway through the season, so we’ve still got a lot of wrestling left to do. I think the young men are going to keep working hard.”
