Hillsboro Indians golf wins first FAC matchup of season; McClain 4th place

The Hillsboro Indians golf team won the first 2018 Frontier Athletic Conference match of the season on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course.
The Indians scored a 186 on the day, and the team was led by Kristin Jamieson with a score of 39. Next for Hillsboro were Will Kiefer at 46, Gabe Mycroft at 48 and the final result to go into the Top 4 scoring was Gavin Puckett at 53. Also for HHS, Ryan Harless scored a 54 and Lawton Parry had a score of 58.
Next in the team results were the Jackson Ironmen at 189, followed by the Washington Blue Lions with a 203 score.
The McClain Tigers were fourth place in the event at the Hillsboro Elks with Trevor Newkirk scoring a 39 on the day. He was followed by Trenton Newkirk at 51, Carson Spangler (56), Zane Mustard (58), Blake Adams (65) and Potts (65).
Tied with McClain in fourth place was Miami Trace at 204, followed by Chillicothe at 209.
