Hawk followed with consecutive goals with the scoreboard reading 29:57 and 22:58 to earn the aforementioned hat-trick and a 4-0 advantage for the Lady Indians.

Next came consecutive goals by Blair at 16:14 and 10:07 to extend the Lady Indians’ lead to six goals. An own goal by the Lady Blue Lions added another goal for HHS and the 7-0 halftime advantage.

In the second half, Riley Moberly, who is the starting keeper, scored a goal for the Lady Lions with around 5:00 left in the match for what was the final 8-1 advantage. As the Lady Indians keeper, Moberly had three saves.

“It’s always nice to get a win against a league opponent, especially in pretty hot conditions,” HHS head coach Jeremy Ratcliff said. “We’ve been struggling to find different and more offensive threats, so that was nice to see different players step up and be able to put the ball in the back of the net, which is something we’ve been encouraging and working on and are going to need going forward.

“We went three games in four days this week and three games in four days last week, so I think all in all it was like six games in 10 days. It was a good way to end that stretch and have them gut through it, and now they can heal up a little bit.”

Washington’s lone goal was scored with 25:00 left in the match.

Assists for the Lady Indians were collected by Myers (three), and with one each were Ellie Elmore, Aidan Chaney and Ellie Howland.

Next for the Lady Indians is a FAC road match on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Jackson. Also next week, the Lady Indians will be on the road on Thursday, Sept. 28 at Miami Trace, also a FAC contest.
