WASHINGTON C.H. — The Hillsboro Indian boys golf team had a rare loss on Thursday, falling to the Washington Blue Lions 168-183 at the Washington Country Club in South Central Ohio League play.
Washington had the medalist in Seth Aker with a low-score of 40 on the Par 36 nine-hole course.
"We just had a rough night," HHS coach Dan Spidel said. "This was a big match for us in terms of competing for a league championship. This would have been a big league win for us."
Hillsboro, who now stands at 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the SCOL, had two players tie for their low score on the links in Austin Bagshaw and Taylor Anderson, each with a 44.
Levi Fleming finished with a 46, and Josh Clark ended his day with a 49.
The next time Hillsboro takes to the links, it will be an away non-league match against East Clinton on Tuesday, Sept. 6.[[In-content Ad]]
