The Hillsboro Lady Indians enter the 2015 Division II SE District Girls Basketball Tournament by winning four of their final five games of the regular season and holding an overall record of 15-7.
Though HHS has just one tournament win since the now-senior class began high school, that doesn't matter, because the current Lady Indians team consisting of mostly seniors and juniors have been working towards this moment during the past four seasons.
Having six seniors and one junior who play a majority of the minutes for the Lady Indians has produced the best regular-season overall records in nearly a decade for HHS, and with that, eight wins in the South Central Ohio League, finishing fourth in the conference.
HHS defeated the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers this season, a team who won a share of the SCOL championship.

Receiving a No. 4 seed, the Lady Indians are one spot higher than their opponent on Wednesday, Feb. 18 in No. 5 seeded Jackson, with the Ironladies entering the game at Zane Trace on Wednesday with an overall record of 9-12, though they still have one makeup game left to play.
Jackson enters this game with a young roster, but JHS is back-to-back district runners-up, with a roster this season of three seniors, two juniors, four sophomores and one freshman.
Looking at the roster of Jackson (who are coached by Matt Walburn) their top player is senior Kacee Jenkins (who has committed to play collegiate softball at Rio Grande), as she and freshman Rebekah Green are their leading scorers.
For the Lady Indians, their leading scorer for the season is junior Madison Snyder with 13.5 points per game, followed by seniors Kaylynn Bell (also a Rio Grande commit for soccer) with 12.3 ppg, Kirsten Juillerat with 9.5 ppg and Alyssa Sullivan with 6.2 ppg.
As previously mentioned, HHS enters this game, winning four of their final five games, including wins over Paint Valley (40-29), Wilmington (50-42), Washington (50-43) and Miami Trace (39-38). The lone loss came against McClain (51-41).
The winner of this game will face the winner of the No. 1 seeded Chillicothe and No. 9 seeded Waverly game on Feb. 18 at 6:15 p.m. at Zane Trace High School in the sectional finals.
Waverly defeated No. 8 seeded Logan Elm, 54-43 on Tuesday night in a first-round sectional game.
