Coleman gains two hits for UC Bearcats; drop game 4-3

Hillsboro graduate and current University of Cincinnati sophomore Kendal Coleman played in his first game of the season Wednesday, as the Bearcats dropped a 4-3 contest to the Dayton Flyers at TWC Stadium.
Coleman finished 2 for 3 at the plate with one walk and two base hits for the Bearcats.
His first hit of the season came with a single to the shortstop, and in the fifth inning he earned his second base knock with a ball hit past the UD pitcher.
In the seventh innng Coleman drew a walk, followed with a line out to third base in his final at-bat in the ninth inning.
The Bearcats currenty stand at 11-7 overall.
Last season as a freshman, Coleman played in 34 games, starting 21. He batted .256 with 21 hits, five doubles and 12 RBIs. His first career hit came on March 14, 2009 with a triple against Western Michigan.
