Hillsboro Police Report

These incidents have been reported by the HPD.

November 9

Dakota Smith, 22, of Hillsboro was cited for right of away on a public highway, which resulted in a traffic crash.

Josh Davis, 41, of Leesburg was arrested for failure to appear, bench warrant.

November 10

At 1:32 p.m., Robert Elam, 20, of Hillsboro and Michael Mount, 66, of Lynchburg were traveling eastbound on Harry Sauner Road. Mount was stopped at the intersection of Harry Sauner and North High Street.  Elam hit the rear of Mount's vehicle. Robert Elam was cited for assure clear distance ahead. 

On November 10 at 5:13 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a 2-car, non-injury crash at the intersection of W. Walnut and S. Elm. Patrick King, 75, of Hillsboro was proceeding westbound through the intersection of W. Walnut St. and S. Elm St. Florence Gallimore, 63, of Hillsboro was traveling southbound in the 100 block of S. Elm St. approaching the intersection of W. Walnut St. and S. Elm St. Gallimore failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of W. Walnut St. and S. Elm St., striking King's vehicle on the right front wheel and fender area. Florence Gallimore was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. 

Matthew Barger, 33, of Winchester was arrested for 2 failures to appear, bench warrants.

November 11

Logan Woods, 23, of Hillsboro was cited for assure clear distance ahead.
