HILLSBORO — Being back in Frontier Athletic Conference action after returning from a break from the Highland County Fair, the Hillsboro Lady Indians soccer team defended their home field against the Miami Trace Lady Panthers Tuesday night for a shutout victory of 2-0.

The Frontier Athletic Conference win for the Lady Indians saw them score two goals — one in each half — as HHS led their conference rival, 1-0 at halftime.

One of goals scored by the Lady Indians was from Taylor Thoroman, which was assisted by Rylie Scott.

The second goal for Hillsboro came from Scott, who was assisted by Addyson Miles.

With the win, the Lady Indians move to 2-3 overall, as this was their second win in their past three games. Hillsboro’s first win of the season was another FAC victory, as they defeated Washington on Aug. 29 by a 5-0 score.

HHS this season has also faced Fairfield, Eastern and Jackson. In FAC matches thus far in ’23, the Lady Indians are 2-1.

Next for Hillsboro is another game within the FAC, as they will be hosting the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 6:45 p.m. at HHS.
