Wilkin commends House vote to override DeWine

Ohio State Senator Shane Wilkin, a conservative Republican running for Ohio’s Second Congressional District, today released the following statement in response to the Ohio House of Representatives’ vote to override Governor Mike DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68:

“I commend the House for taking this first necessary step toward overriding Governor DeWine’s dangerous veto of House Bill 68. We must protect our children and ensure fairness and safety in girls’ sports. House Bill 68 does just that, and I am confident the Senate will reconvene quickly so that we may cast our vote to override the governor’s veto.”

Senator Wilkin proudly supported passage of House Bill 68, which was vetoed by Governor DeWine on Dec. 29.
