“Israel, our strongest friend and ally in the Middle East, is threatened daily by enemies including Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah, which has stockpiled tens of thousands of rockets aimed at Israeli cities,” Wenstrup said. “Finalizing a new Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Israel that increases security assistance and missile defense funding is essential to strengthening Israel’s ability to protect itself and promoting stability in the surrounding region.”

The State Department announced Tuesday that the Administration has finalized a new MOU with Israel. The President plans to sign it Wednesday in a public ceremony.
