Volunteers complete sixth annual Lynchburg cleanup event

On Saturday, May 16, Lynchburg held the sixth annual Clean Up Green Up event.

Dodging the rain showers, volunteers walked all streets and alleys picking up litter.

More volunteers planted flowers in Agness Park and in various areas on Main Street. Flowers were donated by BLOOM and The Lynchburg Historical Society, and also donated from Lowe's in Hillsboro.

The Village of Lynchburg also funded a Dumpster for residents to get rid of large items. (It filled up quickly.)

Girl Scout Troop 2721 were great helpers. Many of the Lynchburg Village Council members and village employees were in attendance, too.
