Two-vehicle crash temporarily closes Route 138 in Shackleton

SHACKLETON – A pickup truck and an SUV collided in the New Market Township community of Shackleton at approximately 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera said the occupants of both vehicles suffered injuries, but they weren't believed to be severe.

In addition to the Highland County Sheriff's Office, the Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded.

The accident occurred at the intersection of state Route 138 and Mad River Road, west of Hillsboro. Route 138 was temporarily closed, but has re-opened.
