Two charged with growing marijuana in basement

Two Hillsboro residents were arrested Nov. 26 on charges of cultivating marijuana in the basement of a South East Street house in Hillsboro.

The Hillsboro Police Department said Jeremy Striley, 29, and Alexis Petrancosta, 22, are charged and scheduled to appear in Hillsboro Municipal Court Nov. 28.

According to an HPD report, the department received information of an alleged marijuana growing operation in the basement of a residence in the 500 block of South East Street. During the investigation, the information was found to be credible and marijuana plants were seized.[[In-content Ad]]
